SDCC General Meeting Agenda for Monday, April 30th
Shore Drive Community Coalition (SDCC)- General Meeting, Monday April 30, 2007 at 7:30pm to 9:00pm at the Ocean Park Fire & Rescue Hall.
This month’s program will be an open mike night. We will take some time to allow the membership to bring up issues that may be new and important to the rest of the community. We will also attempt to have some meaningful knowledge sharing on these issues…
The general agenda for the evening will be: ·
Discussion Topic - 60 Minutes
· Officer’s Reports - Brief Reports
o Secretary – Tim, review last months minutes.
o Treasurer’s Report - Leslie
o Vice President & President - Daphne & Todd
Old Business-
· Indigo Dunes Project – Wetlands hearing is set for May 21, 2007 at 9:30am. Update from meeting with City Planner Manager Karen Lasley.
· 332 apartments are being planned for Marina Shores Marina. Results of Ches Bay Board Hearing from April 23rd. Update from Long Creek Cove’s opposition drive. What is the plan and how can SDCC help. Planning Commission hearing might be June 13, 2007.
· Bayfront Town Hall Meeting– General thoughts of what to do next time and how to spring board from this.
New Business
· Cape Henry Beach Sand Replenishment Task Force – What to do next? Meet with City, but what should be the plan.
· SDCC letter to Council for this budget cycle. – Should the SDCC send a letter to Council reminding them that no matter what the final rate reduction may be, money needs to be spent on Shore Drive Safety improvements?
· Proposed Amendment to Shore Drive Overlay District Code – Come prepared to discuss the following suggestion to be added to the current City code, “Rezoning within the overlay that results in a density greater than currently allowed is strictly prohibited (i.e. B-2 to multifamily B-4; R-10 to multifamily B-4).”

Saturday May 5, 2007 - SDCC/Starbucks Clean-up Day, 9am at Starbuck’s.
Monday May 21, 2007 – Wetlands Board hearing on proposed Indigo Dunes, 9:30am in City Council chambers.
